Ethiopian government forces carried out a drone attack against Eritrean troops after they entered Ethiopia’s Tigray region, The Guardian reported.
Vehicles transporting soldiers crossed Eritrea’s southern border on Wednesday and reached Adigrat, about 25 miles south of the border, according to civilian witnesses, a militia commander and the conflict monitoring group Acled.
The attack heightens the risk that renewed conflict within Ethiopia could escalate into a broader war between the two neighbouring countries.
