Former Florida Rep. David Rivera Gets 10 Years in Venezuela Lobbying Case

David Rivera, a former Republican congressman from Florida, was sentenced to 10 years in a case involving lobbying for the Venezuelan government, The New York Times reported.

Rivera, a Miami Republican, was convicted of secretly lobbying Washington officials on the government’s behalf during 2017 and 2018.
