Tennessee inmate Christa Pike was taken to a hospital after an unsuccessful lethal injection attempt, her lawyers said in a court filing, according to The New York Times.

Pike was unconscious and receiving ventilator support after the attempt. Her lawyers said she arrived at the hospital with burns and blisters on her arms.
