Bolivia’s attorney general has announced an investigation into former president Evo Morales over allegations that he was involved in the killing of three Europeans and the torture of two others in 2009.
The killings occurred when police raided a hotel in Santa Cruz. Those shot dead were Eduardo Rózsa Flores, a Bolivian-Croatian; Michael Dwyer, an Irishman; and Árpád Magyarosi, a Hungarian-Romanian.
The investigation concerns the leftist former leader’s alleged role in the events. The allegations do not establish his involvement.
